Designer Spotlight: Magnolia House Design Group

Southern charm and poise are the first things you may notice about Jennifer Suddes, of Atlanta's Magnolia House Design Group. The drawl when she talks reminds you of a Gone With the Wind episode and mint Juleps. However, it is her well trained eye for quality, craftsmanship, furnishings and textiles, her timeless style and designs that set her apart as a master in her industry.

Grace Point, 30A's newest boutique community was the latest to receive her Midas touch, and the result was nothing short of extraordinary. Upon entry to the residence at 132 Grace Point Way, the foyer light blends the transparent with the flecks of gold and the rest is history. The blend of textures, captivating centerpieces, doorhandles and knobs, each piece is thoughtfully placed.  Warm rugs float just below your feet as lamps and custom lighting provide the ideal glow for entertaining or Thanksgiving dinner. Just beyond the kitchen is an outdoor patio area with teak furniture surrounding the pool, intimate seating around the exterior fireplace with touches of Magnolia House Design on the mantel and side tables.

The greatest of visual accomplishments in the coastal manor is perhaps the gallery and bunk room on the second level where nautical elements meld with start white shiplap, and ceiling angles are more than just a mere suggestion.  Hand-painted artwork are featured throughout the home, selected to showcase not only the integrity of their work but the skillful eye to properly place where sun, light and passersby can enjoy.

From custom tufted headboards in each of the sweeping bedroom suites to the third-floor media room, no detail was overlooked. The crowning glory is the fourth level tower with breathtaking Gulf view, provide the ideal backdrop for nightcaps or early morning coffee, the cushioned seating compliments all three floors below with grace and ease.

"Our entire team put much care, thought and attention into the creation of this beautiful home,"  Jennifer explains. "It is very finely constructed and well appointed, but still so comfortable for family living and easy entertaining. Because it boasts gorgeous gulf views and is situated on the main drive in beautiful Grace Point, I wanted it to impress its visitors but not overwhelm."
